The 3 Main Causes of a Silverfish Invasion
Are you a little embarrassed when a visitor around and a nasty, little silver bow falls to the ground for all to see? If you have a silverfish infestation do not worry, you are not alone, unfortunately they are often for small household pests, and not too hard to get rid if the correct procedures.
Before you try to get rid of these uninvited guests, it is important to understand.
1st Living conditions
The number one thing you need to consider is the silverfish that at your house for a reason. Not all homes are suitable places for these pests. They like heat, humidity and darkness.
Thus, all areas of your home with high moisture or humidity is ideal for them. Some public areas are the bathroom to shower, if you regularly drive a wet floor. In a damp basement or attic, near the boiler. If you can identify places that heat and moisture to enter and take steps to dry them, you are half way there though.
They also love small, dark nooks and crannies, cracks on the floor.
This part is key, as the female silver fish lay their eggs in these small cracks, and they are not visible. The breeding cycle of 3 to 4 weeks, so if you have any murder silverfish in your house, but not filled in the cracks, then the hidden eggs will hatch soon, and you have to deal with the next generation. And mark my words, there are eggs hidden around that breed like rabbits these errors.
2nd Easy access to food
Silverfish will eat anything. They enjoy many of the same foods we do, such as cereals and corn-based foods. But they hold power in some form, even in the binding glue, books and magazines lying around your house. And they will even eat parts of your clothes when you leave clothes.
3rd A simple way
Silverfish bugs occur naturally in the wild. You are only coming into people’s homes, as they are to find an easy way, and of course, if the house is a good place for them to live for the reasons mentioned above. When you enter your poison infects the whole house without finding silverfish and closing the entrance, which should be stopped.
